Description
The Ark is Bukhara's oldest architectural monument — a fortress founded in the 1st millennium BC. For over a thousand years it served as the residence of the emirs of Bukhara. Today it houses a history museum, the throne room and a mosque. The fortress walls offer a magnificent view over the old city.
